One Day Trip from Marrakech to Ourika Valley
This full-day trip to Ourika Valley will begin at 09h00 AM with a drive through the Houz Plains, and a stop at the local ladies Argan oil cooperative to see how this liquid gold is extracted and some cosmetic products are made.
In the Ourika Valley, all the Villagers come once a week to Ourika Market on Monday, the largest Berber Souk in the area, to trade and buy their goods.
Driving along the Ourika river, we will follow the stream towards the Berber village of Setti Fatma, where the locals of Marrakech seek relief from the summer heat by spending a day under the shade of the walnut trees.
Local hiking guides are available for hire if you would like to explore the Valley on foot. You can walk to some stunning cascades and back.
For a lazy afternoon, go to one of the riverbank cafés on the river and enjoy the sound of the stream with the High Atlas Mountains as a backdrop.
A light lunch can be found at local cafes for budget-friendly prices.
After lunch, return to Marrakech late in the afternoon, where your day trip to Ourika Valley will conclude with drop-off at your hotel or Jamaa Elfna Square.
