DAY 1 : Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou – Dades Valley
This Private Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour will depart from your hotel at 07h30 AM through Tizi Ntichka pass and the high Atlas Mountains to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou.
There will be numerous stops along the way, including the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, which was also used as a filming location for various Hollywood blockbusters. After we continue to Ouarzazate for lunch ( At leisure ).
In the afternoon, we visit the oasis of Skoura, home to one of the most impressive Kasbahs in Morocco: Amridil. Our journey then takes us to Kalaa Mgrouna via the Valley of the Roses before reaching our boutique accommodation located in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 : Dades Valley – Tinghir – Merzouga – Sahara Desert
Our journey today will begin after breakfast by driving along the 1001 Kasbahs to the Tinghir oasis.
Throughout the tour, you will be able to observe the amazing scenery along the way of fortified villages that hosted the caravan roads until the early 20th century.
After arriving at Tinghir, which was a military post during the French occupation, we will deviate into a secondary road that leads to the oasis. Take advantage of the opportunity to walk next to the stream and see how the locals farm and herd their cattle.
Your walk will end at one of the most beautiful sites of your trip: Todgha Gorges.
After lunch at a local café, we travel to Rissani, which is one of the holiest towns in Morocco as the actual ruling family of Morocco ‘’ The Alaouites ’’ originates from here, and whose founder is buried nearby.
Rissani is also famed as the starting point of the ancient caravan routes that crossed the Sahara desert on their way to Timbuktu.
In the mid-afternoon, our camel caravan will be ready to greet you at Merzouga, where we will cross some rocky terrain. Before we return to our Sahara desert camp, we’ll take a camel ride over Erg Chebbi’s dunes, where we’ll be sure to see an amazing sunset.
You will enjoy your dinner under the stars while our local nomads play their drums all night long.

DAY 3 : Merzouga – Midelt – Ifran – Fes
The camel trek begins in the early morning with a spectacular sunrise atop the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will reach the camp operator’s lodge in Merzouga for breakfast and showers.
If you choose the luxury option, breakfast will be served at the camp, and showers are available at your tent.
Drive through Errachidia, the capital of Tafilalt, and Cross the Ziz Valley on a scenic drive to Fes, crossing the Ziz Valley.
As we continue our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains and drive around Imouzzar and Ifran towns, we reach Midelt where we will have lunch at our leisure and then drive over the Cedar Forests. (” Imouzzar and Ifran” These towns are both well-known as ski resorts for Moroccans during the winter).
Your driver might spot some Barbary apes on the way and use the opportunity to take some photos.
